Human Centred Education

This website is created as a resource or knowledge-base to explore the essential qualities and practices of a truly human-centred education. The concept of human-centred education has been utilised and developed by the Guerrand-Hermès Foundation for Peace (GHFP)  through its connection with a network of schools around the world. Operating in diverse backgrounds, these schools share similar educational ideals and values, which the GHFP has termed 'human-centred education'.

Human-centred education aims at the development of the whole person and enabling the expression of full human potential through educational processes and practices. It employs an holistic approach to curriculum and assessment, depends on human relations between teachers, students, parents and other members of the community, and is achieved through addressing the unity of human experience as a whole, within a stimulating human environment in the school classroom, playground, community and beyond.
